The Lord’s my shepherd Bob Chilcott (b. 1955) Lizzy Humphries (soprano) with Ben Driver (organ) This setting of Psalm 23, using the Scottish Psalter metrical version of the famous words dating from 1650, was recorded in St Peter's Church in Petersham on 27 January 2021. We dedicate it in gratitude to Tim and Jane Marwood, who leave St Peter's next month after fourteen years' service to the Petersham community. Ben Driver Director of Music St Peter's Petersham April 2021 The Lord's my Shepherd, I'll not want. He makes me down to lie In pastures green: he leadeth me The quiet waters by. My soul he doth restore again; And me to walk doth make Within the paths of righteousness, E'en for his own name's sake. Yea, though I walk through death's dark vale, Yet will I fear no ill; For you are with me and they rod And staff me comfort still. My table thou has furnished In presence of my foes; My head thou dost with oil anoint, And my cup overflows. Goodness and mercy all my life Shall surely follow me: And in my Father's heart alway My dwelling-place shall be.
