00-05 Toyota MR2 Spyder - Axle CV Boots Rebuilding Replacement - Time Lapse 1.8L 2ZZ-GE Swapped - Leaking Axle Grease from torn and damaged CV boots. Rebuilding factory MR2 Spyder Bulb Flicker, Not Turning On, Shutting Off At Times Video Slideshow of images compiled and time lapse. Axle boots both tearing and torn causing flow to wick all over the exhaust, engine, cross member, lower engine panel. Vehicle started leaking excessive grease and smoking on the rear right side of the timing cover. Signs of dried grease stains on the back side of the engine block and timing cover engine and transmission case. Axle grease leaks dripping down onto lower engine plastic cover as well. Axles are still ok to rebuild when inspected but cv boots needs to be replaced along with new bands to be clamped down and grease repacked. Both axles shafts ok but boots completely torn apart replace and rebooted at the same time. After test drive and replacement now operating as designed.
