Did a few more little things on the Galaxie, and cleaned it up a bit. I also gave the Bel Air a good cleaning. I show a vintage sales receipt, from "Jerome-Duncan Ford", from when my dad traded in his 1959 Chevrolet Parkwood station wagon in on a 1966 Ford Country Sedan station wagon. I found it when cleaning out my folks house in Romeo. Back in that era, Jerome-Duncan Ford was at the corner of M-53 (Van Dyke) and M-59 (Hall Rd.) in Utica, Mi. I worked at Jerome- Duncan Ford in the 80's, at there new location on M-53 just south of 18 Mile Rd. in Sterling Heights, Mi. When I worked there, it "was" the largest Ford dealer in the world, I don't think it is anymore. I took the Galaxie out for a ride in the local area. I want to make sure it's all good, before hitting the freeway to take it for a top. I got to make two round trips there with it. Once to get the estimate and order the top, then a couple weeks later to have it installed. I might start looking into five new white wall tires too. I picked up some more gloss black acrylic enamel to spray the wheels. I will bead blast the wheels before the new paint. Check out some of the night shots of the dash illuminated in both the 66 Galaxie and the 59 Bel Air. I wanted to see what worked on the dash lights, and what didn't. Looks like the radio light is out, and the clock bulb was out too. All the photos are on my Instagram old_car_alley, enjoy. If you liked my video, hit the like button.
