NPP Leaders Condemn Delhi Harassment Incident, Demand Justice for Arunachal Pradesh Women Senior leaders and office bearers of the National People’s Party (NPP) and its youth wing, the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF), have strongly condemned the recent incident of racial abuse and sexual harassment involving women from Arunachal Pradesh in Malviya Nagar, Delhi. Former MLA and National General Secretary of the National People’s Party, Paknga Bage, expressed grave concern over the incident and described it as a serious violation of dignity, safety, and constitutional rights of citizens from the Northeast. He stated that such incidents highlight the urgent need for stronger safeguards and sensitisation to protect people from the region. He informed that the NPYF, led by its National President Nickey Nongkhlaw and National General Secretary Rock Lungleng, has formally taken up the matter with the Delhi Police. In a representation submitted to the Joint Commissioner of Police, Delhi, the youth wing demanded immediate and stringent action against those involved and urged the authorities to ensure justice without delay. Paknga Bage further stressed the importance of long-term awareness measures and suggested that chapters on Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeast should be included in NCERT textbooks to promote understanding, respect, and national integration across the country.
