Mary in the Carmelite Tradition - Session 1: Mary in Carmel's History (Dr. Johan Bergström-Allen)

Between 13th and 15th July 2021, in anticipation of the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the Carmelite Family in the Caribbean held its annual conference. Due to the Covid pandemic, the gathering was online. The theme was "Mary in the Carmelite Tradition". Over the three days presentations were given by Dr. Johan Bergström-Allen, T.O.C., a Lay Carmelite from the British Province of Carmelites and scholar of Carmelite Studies. The first session was on "Mary in Carmel's History", providing a broad overview of the developing place of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Carmelite Order's identity and spirituality.
