GUJJAR RAAG Channel name GUJJAR RAAG is to describe that RAAG means pure and old PUNJABI music. This music (RAAG) is the base of PUNJABI MUSIC specially INDIAN PUNJABI MUSIC.GUJJAR is a worldwide nation. But the population of GUJJAR caste living in PUNJAB, on both sides the border of INDIA & PAKISTAN love it too much that they could not live without this music(RAAG). They are not only the listeners of this music but a number of singers of this music are from Gujjar caste. A few names are FAZAL DEEN GUJJAR OF MIAN CHANU, SADDER DEEN GUJJAR of SAMMUNDRI(FAISALABAD),UMER DEEN GUJJAR of LAHORE, BARKET ALI GUJJAR ARIFWALA. Now a new young man serving this music is MUHAMMAD ASHFAQ GUJJAR of Christian BEHAWELNAGAR. Gujjar community of PUNJAB is listening to it very much, also these days. There are many songs on the different stages of a marriage like Suhag, Ghorhian, Sehra, Sithnian. Suhag is related to bride while Ghorhian and Sehra are related to groom. A daughter's feelings have a special place in the Punjabi folk songs in which she address to his father asking to find her a better home, good people (in-laws) and many more. By length and mood, the different kinds of songs includes Suhag,[6] Ghorhian, Bolian,[7] Tappe,[ Every festive occasion has music associated with it.[3] Lohri and Maghi are associated with the change of season while Visakhi is a harvest festival.
