Learn how to insert, format, and check the usable storage capacity of a microSD Express card in the Nintendo Switch 2. Actual Usable Capacity of 512GB Cards + Amazon Links PNY (476GB): https://amzn.to/4pTg7ir SanDisk (456GB): https://amzn.to/48pazFf Samsung (477GB): https://amzn.to/486y6f2 Lexar (465GB): https://amzn.to/3JYdfBz Transcend (470GB): https://amzn.to/4pqUbus My blog article comparing all the above cards: https://www.memorywolf.com/blogs/revi... Usable Storage Capacity Explained (GB vs GiB) GB (used for marketing by storage manufacturers) is the metric style of measurement where 1GB = 1000³ bytes. Then you have GiB which is the binary method; 1GiB = 1024³ bytes. The binary method is what is used in computers like the Switch 2. So 1GB is effectively 0.93 GiB, or 512GB is effectively 476GiB. There is often some other overheads as well, such as the file system. If the Switch 2 and card manufacturers displayed both a GB and a GiB value there might not much so much confusion, or they simply used the same method of measurement.
