Building your own printer riser stand with storage can help you keep your printer supplies, like paper and ink, near your printer without taking up extra real estate on your desk. For this build, I focused on getting the most out of my lumber which includes gluing 2 pieces together to make a piece that was wide enough to hold my printer. When shopping for lumber, this technique can save you money. It is expensive to buy really wide material (other than plywood); you can buy a 1x 6 or 1x 8 instead of a 1 x12.
