This is a cover / interpretation of the piece Fracture by King Crimson (Fripp) from their 1974 album Starless and Bible Black. The version I have trained myself on is from The Great Deceiver boxset, live at Massey Hall Toronto June 24th, 1974. For decades, that version from Toronto is something I feel to be very holy to me, for lack of a better description. I consider it to be the greatest musical performance on record, hands down. Or hands very much NOT down! This is by no means a practice in perfection (foolhardy in itself). It is part homage, part energy cultivation - trying to match the yearning of the passages, the urgency of the crescendos.
