Moral Models: Crucial Decisions in the Age of Computer Simulation

Science doesn't make decisions: people do. This is true even when building computer models. In this 24-minute film, Professor Eric Winsberg— widely recognized for bringing the study of computer simulation to philosophy of science— shares his views on COVID-19 models, including their moral significance and influence on society. Financial support for this film was provided through a research project funded by the BC SUPPORT Unit’s Health Economics and Simulation Modelling Methods Cluster.
