Inspection Robot - The Spider Mite

This video demonstrates some of the features and capabilities of the "Spider Mite" Inspection System. The Spider Mite is a small, rugged, low-profile robot with a color, pan/tilt camera on a 4WD, all-terrain vehicle. It can climb 45 degree inclines, fit inside 12" diameter pipes and record the live video feed. The operator controls the robots which sends back a live video image of what the Spider is "seeing". They have the option to record the live-video feed. The video shows the vehicle crawling in a crawl space, searching for bombs under a car, jumping a 6" pipe, climbing a 45˚ Incline and it suggests some other applications.
