the mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasyxx2h... I've always liked how this temple gives the idea of being messed up. Spectral Keeper has an absurd amount of strenght, maybe a little too much. You can't survive his attacks without power breaking him and protect your target. Even when you do survive, you have to deal with some nasty statuses: berserk from one attack and sleep and poison from another. the berserk attack targets the character who is going to take the turn later and the poison+sleep one is going to target the next character who goes right after Keeper. So it may seems we have some ways to control who will eat the attack but is not that simple: Spectral Keeper counter any damage move with reap, which deals 9999 damage to the three spots in front of him and heals it the same amount. The problem is that what we see in the queue is the order of the characters supposing they are doing a rank 3 action, it's not so easy to do a 3 rank action when you can't deal damage. But the boss can be provoked, it means we can direct its attack to Tidus. I got a berserkproof armor for Tidus back from the Wendigo battle (the first video i recorded) so didn't have to customize anything else; i could customize it even further with sleepproof and poisonproof but it wasn't necessary. Spectral Keeper continues alternating between those two attacks until it decides to put bombs on every platform but a random chosen one. Those bombs explode way way way too fast in my opinion, sometimes some of my hasted characters didn't even have a turn before they explode. So do our characters in a bombed platform just die? we wish, it would be so much better, but no, they take some heavy damage and get some nasty statuses, one of them is berserk. When a character is in berserk and we can heal them asap it's probably a game over, because they'll activate Spectral Keeper counter. In this attempt i used Lulu's death spell to KO herself and avoid the risk of berserk ruin everything. The boss double weaknesses and relative low health do make it at least burstable after an armor break.
