Elul is the unique 29-day period of time each year dedicated to preparing our hearts to usher in the Biblical Fall Feasts of the Lord; Rosh Hashanah begins the evening of Sunday, September 25th (Sept 26-27), and a new Biblical year begins. Yom Kippur (October 5th) and Tabernacles (Oct. 10-17th), 2023. Elul is about: Reflection, Repentance, and Recalibration. A time to reflect on our past season, Repent of things that have caused our eyes, and hearts to turn away from wholly following hard after our King (Yeshua). It’s also a time to recalibrate (to examine (one’s thinking, plans, and/or system of beliefs and values) and correct it according to the new understanding or purpose being revealed for the new season. Elul is meant to be used as a time for introspection and reflection. Elul's point is setting the tone for the High Holiday period, so it’s all about taking personal stock of the past year and thinking about the year ahead.
