In this video, I explain everything you need to know in simple terms. What’s changing for care workers? From 22nd July 2025, care workers (SOC 6135) and senior care workers (SOC 6136) will no longer be able to bring dependants (like spouse or children) under new Skilled Worker visa applications. They can still come to the UK if sponsored by an eligible employer, but family members will not be allowed for new applicants after this date. What if you’re already in the UK as a care worker? If your visa was granted before 22 July 2025 and you’ve had continuous Skilled Worker status, you can still bring dependants or extend visas for them. Even if your visa is expiring, as long as it started before 22 July and you meet the conditions, you won’t be affected. What about nurses? Nurses (SOC 2231) are not affected by these changes. Since nursing is considered a high-skilled job at RQF Level 6 and above, nurses can continue to bring dependants — both under new visa applications and extensions. Nurses remain eligible under the Skilled Worker route with full family rights. What is RQF? The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) ranks qualifications by level: • Level 3 (like A-levels) includes care workers and technicians. • Level 6 (Bachelor’s degree level) includes registered nurses and teachers. The higher the RQF level, the more skilled the role — and generally, the more visa flexibility. This video includes a simple explanation of RQF levels and how they apply to UK healthcare jobs. If you or someone you know is planning to apply for a care worker or nurse visa, this update is extremely important. Please share this video to help others stay informed and avoid future visa issues. 👍 Like, comment your questions, and don’t forget to subscribe to VKay’s Wings of Voice for more updates on UK healthcare jobs, immigration rules, and nursing career tips. #ukvisaupdate #careworkervisa #NurseUKVisa #SkilledWorkerVisa #UKImmigration2025 #SOC6135 #SOC2231 #FamilyVisaUK #RQFLevels #NHSJobsUK #uknursing
