Cheers!! MAKING OF: Another challenging one. The version of this track that was officially released is quite different. Firstly, it is roughly 1:15 shorter, cutting straight to the Locked On variant and onwards. Secondly, the released version has added electric guitar (which I personally am not a fan of). A (potential) third reason is that the drum elements are mixed slightly differently between the two versions - but this might be due to the way I isolated the track rather than there being an actual difference between the two. Overall, the broadcast version is better in my opinion, but I might be biased as I have never been a fan of changing music for the official releases... Anyway, in terms of the isolation process, this was quite time-consuming, but I think the end product is pretty good. I could have chosen to blend bits of the official soundtrack into the isolation to make it sound as clean as possible - bit I've actually opted against that this time. This video is entirely the isolated music - I decided to stick with it as it sounds fairly good as it is, and like I said, I feel like the drums are mixed slightly differently. By only using my version, it keeps that aspect of the music as accurate as possible. Finally, whilst I haven't included them in the title or thumbnail, this does have two song variants: The Cyberman, and Locked On. Series 4 had a couple of tracks that used elements of what later became Locked On (in the Series 6 soundtrack) - this might be the first use, but let me know in the comments if it was used earlier in the series. The variant of The Cyberman theme is bizarre. I can't say I'm a fan, but I'd like to know the thought process behind including it.
