Info Sources: Wikipedia, Bulbapedia, All The Tropes, Villains Wiki Reversing Ghetsis' theme from Pokémon Black and White 2, along with this image, encapsulates Ghetsis' malevolent essence quite effectively. There's nothing redeemable about Ghetsis; he lacks any sort of Freudian excuse. He embodies a complete monster, and the reversed chant in his theme suggests he's the Devil incarnate. When played backwards, the crowd's chant in Ghetsis' theme eerily resembles the word 'Satan.' Ghetsis embodies all seven deadly sins, and as the epitome of evil, it's unsurprising that he's the most reviled character in the Pokémon series. Now here's a villain we all love to dispise! Ghetsis is undoubtedly the most nefarious father figure in video game history. His numerous vices have earned him the reputation of being the ultimate villain in the Pokémon universe. This is the reason he is confronted only once, unlike all the other villains. Ghetsis' lust is fueled by his control over all Pokémon, his quest for absolute power, and his ambition for world domination. His gluttony stems from this craving for unchecked power. His greed is evident in his desire to monopolize all Pokémon, declaring them legal only for his use. His sloth manifests in his disregard for others, caring solely for himself. Ghetsis' wrath is defined by his intense hatred, while his envy is apparent in his pleasure derived from the pain and suffering of both people and Pokémon while getting away with it. Ghetsis takes pride in declaring himself a god, believing in his own perfection and feeling no remorse for committing atrocities. Ghetsis is often viewed as the embodiment of evil in the Pokémon universe, desiring nothing less than absolute power. In fact, his name is based on the tritone "G" and "Chis" which is known as Diabolus in Musica (The Devil in the Music) as referenced since 1702. The origins of his name and his personality suggest that Ghetsis is viewed as the equivalent of Satan in the Pokémon universe.
