Shelf layout overview

Since posting the few videos showing my Westside Hudson in action, here’s a short overview on my 2.5 x 8, or 20-square feet, shelf layout! I’ve since added a lot to the layout since those videos. I began it August 2021 and got to this point seen here as of February 2023. The base is styrofoam with 1x4 framing. I used hardboard aka Masonite for the fascia and valance. Control is through either an MRC Tech II or an NCE Powercab. It depends on what locos I wish to run. Track is Micro-Engineering Code70 flex track and five of their #6 turnouts. Lighting is by Micro Mark and it is the firm’s warm white and bright white LEDs. The backdrop is a photo print by Larc Products. Locale is upstate New York. This is my first layout I’ve built since a basic 4x8 I had as a teenager, and I enjoyed every minute of it! I’ll soon post links to suppliers. #hoscale #woodlandscenics #dcc #shelflayout #modeltrains
