I put up this cheap Silver Rod copy aerial on the back wall of the organ workshop here at Tango Towers. When I had the chapel built 18 months ago, the cable had to be removed from the back wall of the workshop. It's been dangling outside ever since. The idea was to drill through the 340mm double brick & heavily insulated cavity wall to being the cable into the chapel...fine. upon stripping the instulatioin off the RG213 cable it was clear the cable is water damaged. I stuck a plug on anyway & an an SWR 0f 1.5:1 on the MFJ analyser. I later air tested it using a Maxcom 7E during the On te Air test for that radio (in two videos time) & did get 6 miles on it with noisy RX as expected. At least it'll do for now. I'll need to get scaffolding up to reach the aerial & replace the coaxial cable. In the next few day's I'll get a shelf installed & the Harrier CBHQ base station in there.
