In this brief tutorial, we show you how to clone a master radio's settings, onto all of your radios that need programming. This is an advanced, easy to use feature for all Kenwood radios, and easiest with LCD displays. Once you have your first radio programmed, every other radio in your inventory can be programmed instantaneously with a few simple steps. Follow along with the written instructions: Since we’ve programmed the “Master” radio, with a few simple steps, each radio for your team can have the same frequency settings as well. For this video, we’ll be cloning the PKT300. Follow along, and make sure the radios that you’re cloning, are the same model type. Even if your radios are different model types, the instructions are the same. To start, take out your master radio. From an off position, press and hold the “Push to Talk” button, and the “M-O-N” button. While holding these two buttons, power the radio on. The word “Clone” should appear on the screen, then F9 - 1. Take out the radios that need frequency programming. Press and hold the “Push to Talk” button, and the “M-O-N” button. While holding these two buttons, power the radio on. The screen should read the same as the master radio. Repeat this process for each individual radio that you need to clone. (You can clone multiple radios at once) Once you have all of your radios ready, take your “Master” radio, and press the “Push to Talk” button just once. The Master radio’s light will be blinking red, as it’s transmitting data to each radio. Meanwhile, the radios being programmed will be a steady green. The cloning process will start automatically, and take about 30 seconds to 1 minute to complete. They’ll beep to indicate that the cloning is complete. Then, turn them off, and back on. Now, you’re all set to use your Kenwood radios, storewide. Thanks for Watching. Questions about cloning? Want to learn more about our lineup of Kenwood Products?
