Here's a guide for Black Fatalis using gunlance. Be flexible when fighting Fatalis, sometimes attack from behind the legs or face Fatalis upfront. Wyvern fire can be used to reposition yourself, making distance or just attacking as it provides you immunity to the wind. Guard if you can't evade the attacks but also be mindful that most of Fatalis attacks are 1 hit kill. When using gunlance, it is better to use Gunnery King skill rather than sharpness +1 or sharp sword. Lastly, never rush, even though there's a plenty of opportunity to attack Fatalis, just play it slow and safe, careful of your surroundings and don't forget to always lock your camera to Fatalis.
