Song written by Brian Johnson, Ian McIntosh, Jenn Johnson, Jeremy Edwardson, & Jeremy Riddle Reflection Questions: Read Ephesians 5: 1-2 and then read Leviticus 1: 9, 13, 16 about how God see offerings made by His people. This pleasing aroma is found throughout the book of Leviticus as God instructs Moses to teach the Israelites about the different types of offerings. Often times smell is associated with something that can be good or bad. For example, smelling the steak being seared on an iron skillet glazed with melted butter and rosemary makes me salivate and walking down the fish aisle of a Chinese super market makes me gag. Certain smells can be pleasing or irritating to the nostrils, which in turns causes to associate the smell to feeling good or bad. From the readings we learn that God finds our obedience like a pleasing aroma, as such this should encourage us to continue sending him that aroma. Take some time to read Ephesians 5: 1-2 a couple times. What words stick out to you and why? What does it look like to be imitators of God? Do you think there is correlation between the sacrifices made in the Old Testament and Jesus being that sacrifice in the New Testament? Take some time to write/journal your reflections. Lastly, take some time to meditate on Ephesians 5: 1-2 and pray.
