This is part 5 of a step-by-step build of a B&B Yacht Designs Spindrift 10 nesting dinghy, following the guidance from the build instructions. This video focuses on masking the premiered and prepared surface, applying coats of gelcoat and sanding the gelcoat to a smooth surface, ready for buffing. I really enjoyed this part, it all-of-a-sudden looks like a "real" boat. And, all the hard work in preparing it to this point pays off big time! I purchased the pre-cut "kit" to save some time, but the same results can be accomplished by purchasing the build instructions and cutting your own marine-grade plywood. This video is for those who are looking to build their own dinghy, and who wish to learn more about the process. This is the second project Brent and I worked on together, the previous being a 7' pram for Brent. I hope you enjoy, and I hope you take away some successes we had, as well as learning from some of the failures we encountered.
