After a three-week off-road period, Brightsidio's Travels have resumed to their Monday and Thursday timetable: this time, somewhere down south of England... on Stagecoach East's X5. Date filmed: July 4, 2025, at 7:06pm Vehicle: ADL Enviro400MMC/YX67 VDV (1088) Filmed on: iPhone 15 Pro Max Introduced in 1992 as an hourly inter-urban service from Oxford to Cambridge by Stagecoach East, X5 started out with coaches during its first decade, mainly from the likes of Volvo bodies and Plaxton coaches. Then in 2005, this route was doubled in frequency to operate half-hourly between the two cities via Bicester, Buckingham, Milton Keynes, Bedford and St Neots; August 30, 2020 saw the X5 become split into two different routes: the main X5 between Oxford and Bedford via Bicester, and the 905 between Bedford and Cambridge via St Neots, before gaining Enviro400MMC double-decker buses the following year in October of 2021.
