A Week In Dubai - what to do there

This was the holiday that almost didn't happen! After the collapse of Thomas Cook our week in Dubai shouldn't have happened but thanks to my fast thinking family members the trip was saved. We stayed in a beautiful villa on The Palm, Jumierah. Taxis were cheap and the weather was perfect. Although we only spent a week there we were very busy, we started with some shopping at the Dubai Mall and climbed the world's tallest building - the Burj Khalifa. After we were more accustomed to the heat we tackled some of Dubai's craziest water slides (Leap of Faith and Poseidon’s Revenge) at Atlantis Aquaventure park and then went in to the desert for some dune bashing, sand boarding and even a camel ride.
