Zipori used to be a Jewish town for a 1000 years .it’s known mainly for serving as the sit of the Jewish leadership in the period after the destruction of the second temple , This is where rabbi Yehuda hanasi ,complied the six books of the Mishna ,a commentary of the oral Torah . The city is also famous for not getting involved in the first and second revolts against the Romans but it was the center of the the third revolt (350). When the Zionists movement came to area in the 19 century the area was benefited with the new roads ,industry and fields ,medicines that were introduced to the area since Arab population grew and even more Arab immigrants was invited to the area as well . The Arabs left the city in the war of independence 1947-1949 and settle in near by Nazareth ..
