Motorbiking Rebun, Hokkaido, a Windswept Island in the Far North of Japan

Today we hop on a motorbike ride for a ride along the north coast of Rebun, a small Japanese island in Northern Hokkaido. We ride through grassy, treeless hills down to the coast, passing by waterfront fishing houses and a small town. Rebun has a population of just over 3,000, but the small town we drive through does have a post office, bakery, and two supermarkets. Throughout the ride, the landscape and building construction feel very different than mainland Japan, it is a real treat. The sound is from a GoPro mounted on the motorbike, so this might be a video you want to play with your own music in the background. This ride is from a trip I took to Hokkaido in the summer of 2023, where I also visited Rebun's sister island, Rishiri, as well as spending a week driving the main island. So far on this channel I have only posted walks, but I would like to also start posting other types of quiet explorations, including drives, aerial flyovers, and stationary views shot with my main camera.
