That day in Uzbekistan, just as dawn was breaking, I met a local girl on the bus. She became the first friend I made in this country. Having heard that exchanging money at the customs wasn't very reliable, I decided to withdraw cash directly after entering. My first card didn't work. The second one didn't either. UnionPay failed, and VISA failed too. At that moment, saying I wasn't panicking would be a lie. I stared at the ATM, unwilling to believe the machine was broken and afraid to think about what to do if I really couldn't get any cash.Just when I felt most helpless, she stood by my side and, without a moment's hesitation, said, "Come, I'll take you to the bank." On the way, she told me about her life, warned me which taxis not to take, and which scams to definitely avoid. She wasn't just "helping"; she was treating me like a friend.Later, we explored the market together, talking about life, children, and this city. In that moment, it suddenly struck me—kindness truly has no borders. From that day on, I silently made a decision: if I ever meet someone as helpless on the road, I will pass on this warmth. That was my first day in Tashkent. And it was the least lonely day of this entire journey.
