We begin our walk on Gül Street. Shops adorned with red and white flags, flags hanging from balconies, and the air filled with the sounds of national anthems immediately capture Izmir's celebratory spirit. People walk along the crowded street with flags in their hands, children run around with joy—the city has become a festive place. Then we enter Şevket Özçelik Street. Here, the crowd swells, and the sounds of anthems and applause echo. People smile at each other, saying "Happy Birthday!" and taking photos. This street in Izmir is more than just a road today; It's like part of a unity march. As we reach Kıbrıs Şehitleri Avenue, the crowd reaches its peak. Everywhere is filled with people; Turkish flags are in hand, the sound of the İzmir March rising in the background… Every step along the avenue has become a symbol of national pride and freedom. Shops, cafes, and restaurants have hung flags in their windows; everyone shares the same enthusiasm. At this point, the city seems to beat like a single heart. The walk along Ali Çetinkaya Boulevard becomes a little more relaxed, but the festive atmosphere remains strong. Groups walking along the side streets, children carrying balloons, and smiling people remind us once again of how vibrant and positive Izmir is. Finally, we reach Şair Eşref Boulevard. Here, the city is adorned with evening lights. The streetlights, shop window lights, and the red and white colors are like a painting. As sunset approaches, the sounds of Izmir, the joy of the crowd, and the warmth of the holiday warm our hearts.
