During the height... of Covid, guitarist Andy Brown and I transformed our basement, backyard and living room into an amateur TV studio and invited musician friends over for weekly sessions. This session with trumpeter Art Davis and bassist Dan DeLorenzo was taped in our backyard on 6/25/20. Art Davis is a Chicago legend and a master of the lyrical and melodic approach to brass playing. Bassist Dan DeLorenzo is the epitome of the swinging bass man, with rock solid time and a killer groove. The four of us have played hundreds of gigs together and enjoyed making music and taking a break from the troubles of the world on this lovely Summer day in the heart of Covid.
