Hey loves! Spend the day with Emma Kamau and I! For a long time I’ve struggled with choosing between the popular piece of advice, “go easy on yourself” and being productive concerning my goals and the outcomes I desire. I have given myself several passes and breaks in the name of not being hard on myself. While resting is good, it becomes a setback if there’s nothing you’re resting from - speaking for myself. So far I’ve been productive, but not as productive as I want to be. I want to do the most and be the most I can be. I want to maximize my potential. I’ve always know that at any point I could be better, but I went down a streak of laziness and procrastination. I had had enough and decided to change things and get my groove back as I dedicate myself to my goals. I’ve been seeing Emma Kamau, among other women with amazing work ethic, relentlessly show up for her businesses and it’s so motivating. Once upon a time I had asked her to join her on one of her business days and this day was it! I felt I needed to do so just to shake off the procrastination funk off. Boy was it impactful. Like, Emma is one girl doing it all! If she can, then so can I. I can do anything I dedicate myself to. It’s possible and I will. I saw a quote on the internet that I really resonated with: “I have resolved that for me to achieve even a fifth of what I aspire to achieve this year, I will have to surround myself with people who either inspire me or challenge my thinking.” This vlog is a reflection of that. I’m so hungry to excel and I need to surround myself with people who share the same hunger for their own desires. I also want to be that sort of person for people around me too. I want to pour back, so I need to have substance too. It’s May 1st today and my birthday is in 2 days; for my personal new year and new age I just want to maximize my potential and give this new season everything I’ve got.
