Taken from the WPIX 8 O'Clock Movie showing of A Bridge Too Far. WPIX (channel 11) was an independent station in New York City, but today is a CW affiliate. Also, this caps off my largest tape haul ever - at almost 40 videos! WPIX would air movies during primetime as evidenced in this video, as most indie stations did. Their nickname was "New York's Movie Station," based on their extensive film library access. Their news was also called "Independent Network News," which was syndicated to many indies across the country.
