Do you remember those walnut desks I did recently? (   • The UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTH about building cus...  ) Well, there was this little nook in the corner of the podcast studio that was begging for some matching floating shelves. I mean three live edge floating shelves…how much work could it really be? Well, it was going to require some creative fitting, a bit of engineering with some flipping laser beams, custom steel fittings, a whomper of a jig , a bit of downright hackery and, as usual, plenty of feline assistance. But ultimately, these shelves were way more work than I expected, so margins were nil. But my ego wouldn't let anyone else get the job.
