Shahi Paneer

Shahi Paneer is a rich dish of delicate Paneer cooked in a rich creamy spiced tomato gravy. Dine like royalty with this special dish from the north of India :) Expand the box to see the full recipe below :) I hope you enjoy this video :) Let's be friends on the interwebz :D Facebook Public Page: Vijaya Selvaraju Instagram/Twitter/Snapchat: @vijayaselvaraju INGREDIENTS 4 tbsp, Ghee 2 large Onions, chopped 2 Thai Green Chillis 1 inch Ginger, chopped 2 Green Cardamom Pods 1 Black Cardamom Pod 4 large Tomatoes, chopped 1 tsp, Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp, Garam Masala 1/2 tsp, Coriander Powder 1/2 tsp, Sugar Salt to taste 1/2 cup, Heavy Whipping Cream 300 g Paneer, cut into large rectangular fingers METHOD In a deep pot on medium high heat, add 2 tbsp Ghee, Onions, Chillis, Ginger, and Cardamom Pods. Sautee until fragrant and all ingredients have softened and slightly golden. Then add Tomatoes and cook until completely softened. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Place cooled Tomato mixture in a blender, and blend until smooth. Strain in a sieve to remove any lumps. Return pot to medium high heat and add remaining 2 tbsp of Ghee, add cooled Tomato Mixture along with remaining spices and Sugar. Cook stirring frequently until mixture thickens and ghee begins to separate along the edges of the tomatoes. Stir in Heavy Cream, and add salt to taste. Add Paneer, and cook for 2 minute on medium heat until Paneer warms through. Serve alongside hot roots, chapatis, naan, or basmati rice.
