I just wanted to share the project I've been working on the last year, and actually ever since I developed my manual B&W workflow (called iSGM) in 2010 to create B&W photos in a structured and repeatable way with consistent results with as main objective to create depth in photos. That project is the latest evolution of the panel I introduced last year. The panel isn’t really a panel, in the way most of us would see a panel as an extension of existing features in PS, but it’s a pure B&W editing software such as Silver Efex Pro2, Topaz B&W effects, etc. in the shape of a panel. My objective was always to completely automate my B&W manual workflow and with the last year’s version I succeeded in that for roughly 70%. With this version I am close to 99%, leaving only the creation of hard masks a separate and independent activity. Here’s a fast playback demo of the newly added main feature: automated dynamic gradients and dynamic feathering. In total there are more than 200 new presets. Since Apple went from 8 to 10 with their latest iPhone, I thought I could go from version 1 to 10 in one go:) But honestly, it’s a big leap from version 1 to version X that I think is justified.
