Hardware: Camera: IS3800 Cognex camera Robot: UR5E robot Conveyor: QC Tasks: Tying the conveyor and camera into the robot controller, to do the following tasks using good and defective demo blocks. A good demo block is a white block, a bad demo block will have a defect on it, be the wrong dimension or be the wrong color. Wait for the part at the pick location and place it at the starting point of the conveyor. The robot tells the conveyor to run and stop at each respective position. The sensors on the conveyor let the robot know where the block is in space. The robot then can control the conveyor appropriately. Once the part is picked up, the robot brings it up to a camera where the camera inspects the block (camera triggered by the robot controller) The Cognex camera sends a good or bad output to the robot controller which initiates a pop-up icon on the robot teach pendant, indicating the result of the inspection. The block is placed in the appropriate location. Drop area for bad block and back on the conveyor loop for good block.
