Highlights: This level has three stages: Arena, Run to the Pyramid and Ugh-Zan battle. Arena The Arena fight gives you respawning health and ammo packs, but there's almost nowhere to hide. 0:23: Round 1, Kleers. 3:40: Round 2, werebulls. 6:00: Round 3, werebulls that run a square pattern around the arena instead of charging straight at you. They will randomly decide to attack but this part is difficult if you aren't already at the edges and they surround you. 6:32: Round 4, major and minor biomechs. 9:45: Round 5, a ton of Kleers. Here I back into one of the "caves" for some cover while I clear a few of them out. Run to the Pyramid You have to keep running towards the Pyramid despite the waves of enemies because Ugh-Zan is coming up behind you the whole time. If you try to hang back and pick them off from a distance, he catches up to you and stomps on you. 15:20: Once up the ramp to the entrance, you have to stay alive while the time lock on the door triggers and opens. Whittling down Ugh-Zan's health as much as possible while doing this makes the final fight much shorter and easier. Final Ugh-Zan battle 19:30: Because I've already taken down his health by about a third, one circuit of the rings is all it takes. Fall through each of the rings to activate the beam and it's all over. Sam triumphs! Notes on the video: I originally played and recorded these demos back in 2001, just after Serious Sam: The First Encounter was released. At the time I was an active member of the Serious Zone community site for Serious Sam fans, and was inspired by Dave Parson, who had posted his own set of Serious-mode complete-level playthroughs, so I recorded this set of demos of me doing the same. The demos were originally uploaded to (and are still hosted on) the Serious Sam community site http://www.seriouszone.com/ , now mostly defunct , but I'm now uploading these to YouTube because the original demo files required 1) that you actually have the game to play them, and 2) that you have the out-of-the-box, unpatched version of the game as well. If you had upgraded to the patched version of the game, several of the demos were unplayable past a certain point, so here you can see the levels played from start to finish as I originally recorded them. Since the game has been remade in HD, almost no one plays the original Classic version of the game anymore, but I wanted these not to be lost to time.
