Our whole school took part in making this wonderful video and the lead roles were taken by our Performing Arts Students. Catcote Academy is a Special Needs School and College in Hartlepool, North East England. All students at Catcote have learning difficulties, Autism, social, emotional, communicative, mental health difficulties and/or physical disabilities, including profound multiple learning difficulties and life limiting conditions. The aim of Performing Arts at Catcote Academy is to give our students opportunities to express themselves and break down the barriers that hold them back. This is why we chose this song as we think it represents us well - no matter what barriers and challenges we face; we will keep fighting! We live in Hartlepool, one of the most deprived areas of the country, where opportunities and funding is sparse. We do what we can but we want to do more to inspire our amazing students.
