Tetris the first & best game. I have the old version & the new version, both purchase on amazon. I bought the old one in 2021 & just ordered & got the new one about 4 days ago. I soldered up & started playing with the old one about 10 days ago & just soldered up & got this one working today October 3rd, 2022! Its a cool kit & fun to play with after you built it by soldering the parts & assembling the acrylic case, similar in size & feel to the original gameboy back then ( only slightly similar in form factor ) The low resolution dot matrix "red" LED display & 3-bit line count "red" led display are a nice throwback style, look cool when you play in low light or dark conditions, like some late 90's or early 2000's car dashboard displays, or alarm clocks or appliance displays from back then. My all time favorite display technology is VFD or vacuum fluorescent display, but they run at 85vac & require high voltage electronics, sorta like a Nixie tube display, thus consume more energy than modern LED, LCD, TFT, & OLED displays respectively. This is 'red" LED display action here! Read more about it on my blog blog : I talk about it more there :) How I make it, though you can see that in this video, well assembly of it, including soldering the electronic parts to the mainboard or logic board :) https://priusblack.blogspot.com/2022/... Retro Gaming Soldering Kit on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07... Or this one (different color buttons) ^^ same processor newer one https://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Sol... STC 8H3K32S2 45I - LQFP48 chipset for $1.35 https://m.aliexpress.com/i/3256803797... This content 100% unpaid, I do not make any money on it. I am not affiliated in any way with the seller of this product or anything listed in the video or the links. I purchased the soldering iron, solder, DIY made the fume extractor, own the lamp, all the kits were paid for as purchases I made with my money on Amazon. I do not have any patreons, no sponsorships, no ones sends me any money or merchandise or items or anything featured in my videos. All my content is my original creation * thinking shot with my smartphone in real time, edited by me on the computer & uploaded by me. I have no other employees & my wife Meg only very rarely even gives me input about how I make my videos, what to include as topics & how to capture the videos. I usually mount my phone in a tripod holder to improve image stability & make it possible to do the entire production process solo, without anyone else helping. There are ad's & banners on my blog priusblack.blogspot.com, that pay me pennies per day, or maybe $100 per year, likely less. I have posted more than 800 blog articles & been working on that blog for 12 years or more! Its a hobby that I invest time & thinking & energy into, to share my thinking & ideas, not a money maker. I would be working for less than $0.01 per hour if you divided by time by how much the ad revenue creates. Furthermore, Google & Youtube will not monetize my videos because I do not have enough followers, not enough viewing hours, not enough viewing length per video & other things like tha!
