Learning Objectives: Brief overview of molecularly targeted therapies Assessment and management of nephrotoxicity and electrolyte disorders associated with targeted therapies (VEGF inhibitors, Tyrosine-kinase inhibitors, EGFR inhibitors, BRAF and MET inhibitors ALK inhibitors, BCR-ABL inhibitors, CDK 4/6 inhibitors, BTK inhibitors) Dr. Aisha Shaikh is an Associate Professor of Nephrology and Director of Onco-Nephrology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She went to medical school in Pakistan and did her nephrology training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Before joining Penn in April 2025, she practiced Onco-Nephrology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She has held several leadership roles including renal service chief position at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in Bronx, New York from 2017 to 2021. She is a clinical educator; her clinical and research interests are in Onco-nephrology and Interventional Nephrology.
