A lot of people think carrying a gun every day means you’re paranoid, especially if you live in a “safe” area. I get it. I’ve gotten plenty of comments saying exactly that. This video isn’t for arguing with people or trying to scare anyone. It’s just me talking through how I got here as a normal guy. I’m a dad of five, we homeschool, I live in California, and for the past few years I've had my CCW in California, I've carried every day. I didn’t always think this way, and I definitely didn’t grow up thinking I’d be the guy having these conversations on the internet. A lot of my thinking changed after getting married and having kids. Watching them grow up, thinking about responsibility differently, and honestly just seeing how unpredictable people can be sometimes. This isn’t about politics or thinking the world is ending. It’s about realizing I’m the one standing next to my family if something goes sideways, whether I like that fact or not. You don’t have to agree with me. This isn’t a “everyone should do this” video. It’s just my experience and how I ended up making the decision to carry every day, even in a place most people would call safe.
