Built in 1986, the Pic Blanc gondola lift is the iconic ropeway transportation system in Alpe d’Huez. Departing from the station, it takes passengers right up to the summit, Pic Blanc, at an altitude of 3330 m. After an initial phase of modernising the electrical installations and mechanisms, a final modernisation phase was carried out with the replacement of the cabins The SIGMA teams were able to show their agility during the design of new modern and comfortable custom-built cabins for the Pic Blanc gondola lift, by adapting to existing equipment while optimising the ropeway’s performance. All the operations carried out simplify maintenance and improve the image of Pic Blanc. SATA is modernising the iconic Pic Blanc gondola lift built by POMA over 30 years ago, ensuring this all-season line still has a few good years of service. Au départ de la station elle permet de faire la liaison jusqu’au sommet, le Pic Blanc qui culmine à 3330 m d’altitude. Après une première phase de modernisation des mécanismes et des installations électriques, une dernière phase de modernisation a été réalisée avec le remplacement des cabines. Les équipes de SIGMA ont pu démontrer leur agilité lors de la conception de nouvelles cabines sur mesure, modernes et confortables de la télécabine Pic Blanc, en adaptant aux équipements existants tout en optimisant la performance de l’appareil. L’ensemble des opérations réalisées permet notamment une simplification de la maintenance et une amélioration de l’image de Pic Blanc. La SATA modernise l’iconique télécabine du Pic Blanc réalisée par POMA il y a plus de 30 ans, et pérennise encore pour plusieurs années cette ligne empruntée en toutes saisons.
