Hello sepupus! Hope all is going great. I know many of you who click on this video are Malaysian-Indian, and I wanted to say a few words about why I decided to create this. I have a range of different Malaysian-Indian friends, and in fact, I'll be appearing on The Good Cast Show with Vinodh in just a while. During that conversation, I had the chance to touch on Malaysian-Indians a little bit—although not too much, because at the end of the day, we were discussing broader national issues. But I think this issue surrounding the Malaysian-Indian community has been close to heart for me. As you may know, I made a video just the other day about the bias toward Pakistan in Malaysian media. But today, I want to talk about something far closer to home—our friends and our sepupus who happen to be of Indian-Malaysian heritage. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim once said that Malaysia is a family, and that one of the true tests of our nation’s greatness will be how we handle our multiracial society. He said this to Klaus Schwab, in front of a global audience. I wonder how he feels now—or whether he’s even aware of the way that chaos on social media has descended into a free-for-all, where the Indian-Malaysian community has been systematically crucified by those who seem to face no consequences while running a high carnival of hate. It is hypocrisy of the highest order—and it lays bare the failure to treat fellow Malaysians with the respect they deserve. What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
