The music they play is solely acoustic – they use no enhancements in any of their performances. The Buds have risen to popularity without the help of any outside agencies or agents, all from the mountains of Vermont. The Kind Buds play from their hearts and heal others with their music. One festival attendee told me after The Kind Buds’s epic Midnight Set (they sometimes play for 6+ hours), he went to bed crying, to wake up feeling the best he had felt in years. One other young festival girl just shared with Bud that she was feeling very uneasy and upset on the morning of the festival. As she walked towards the field to watch The Kind Buds’s set, she could energy of The Kind Buds and the audience’s reaction and love of the Buds and immediately felt better. Being in the Jamband East Coast Festival Scene for the past 9 years (8 of those years being a part of the Gathering of the Vibes) they have fans all over the East Coast. From being a part of the Unbroken Chain Symposium held at U-Mass in 2007, the Buds earned the respect and made many valuable contacts whom enjoyed the music of The Kind Buds. In 2009, The Kind Buds 4th CD, “Live at the Bears Picnic” was named #8 out of the top 30 new releases as voted by relix/jambands. Last year, The Buds were a part of the Oregon Country Fair and were asked to be a part of the infamous Midnight Show. This past April, at the Rock N Roll Resort, Sam Cutlter, former tour managere of the Rolling Stones/Grateful Dead experienced The Kind Buds and had this to say. “ My earliest memories of music I loved were of the Everly Brothers ~The Kind Buds remind me of them, a fabulous combination of wonderful vocal and hot guitar playing. The Kind Buds have got it all, if I were any younger I would manage them in a flat minute”.
