It is home to a colony of over 500 incredibly playful, interactive, and curious sea lions. You can go here outside of the summer months. This is when the pups are born and the island is protected from humans while they mature into adolescents. Thanks to Baja Expeditions of La Paz for a fantastic day trip! We started with an hour long boat ride passing a huge pod of dolphins before diving for over an hour with the lobo marinos. (Snorkelers are welcome too as this is a shallow dive max 6m.) After that, we stopped at a private beach for lunch before heading back.
