A short documentary about the Union Pacific steam doubleheader special to the Sacramento Railfair at the California State Railroad Museum in April 1981. The special was pulled by Union Pacific steam locomotives Living Legend #8444 (now 844), and restored Challenger #3985. I particularly enjoy how the brass at Union Pacific allowed the visionary employees to restore 3985. Even though 3985 is no longer operating, it is wonderful that the Union Pacific continues to maintain operating steam locomotives like 844 and 4014. It was wonderful to see all the joy those locomotives brought to people's faces this past spring and summer, 2019 - just as 8444 and 3985 did in 1981.
