Unfortunately, Hobie kayaks are "Lowrance ready" which means if you want to use Garmin, Humminbird, or other brands of fishfinders, you may need to make some adjustments to the transducer mount at the bottom of the hull. I didn't want to buy a new Lowrance fish finder and transducer just so that it would fit and then have to transfer all my waypoints. Instead, I decided to modify the plate a bit to make the transducer that I already have fit. This fix was free for me but if you had to buy the actual 2 pieces of hardware that I found, it likely would cost less than $1. As with all the mods I am doing to this kayak, please be advised I am doing them for the first time and I am not sure if what I'm doing will work the first time.
