In this video, we have prepared tangy, sweet, and spicy curry with Hog Plums or June Plums. The Hog Plums which we used are called God Ambadey in the Konkan region which means Sweet Hog Plum or June Plum. These God Ambade are not too much sour, so that's the reason they are called as God Ambadey. So in this video, we have prepared a sweet, spicy, and sour dish with these Hog Plums. As the June Plums or Hog Plums are sour in taste, there isn't any need to add citrus ingredients in the dish but to make it sweet and spicy we add chilly powder and jaggery. In Goa and other parts of India like Karnataka, Maharashtra, etc. this dish is known as Ambade Sasav, Ambade Curry, Ambade Ros, Ambade Hot, and Sweet Pickle, Ambadey murabba, Amatekayi Gojju, ambarella curry, etc. This dish can even be preserved in refrigerator and can be had for several days.
