14 Year old Elvis presents three original slam poetry poems. Two through videos on Homelessness and Racism, and then in a live performance he talks about the inner turmoil of expectations on the first day of school. Elvis is a freshman at Denver School of the Arts, he is a new member of the Denver Mayors Youth Commission, and he has served for two years on the Youth Action Board for the Bridge Project. Elvis enjoys playing football and listening to music. Elvis hopes to be in the music industry when he grows up, either as a performer or a DJ. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
