Ores For Days Mining | Icarus Spelunking Mission

Now this mission in Icarus is more of what I’m looking for. While I was not playing these from an open-world game. So, I’d have to farm up some basic things for survival during this mission. This one is all about mining. They even give you a sweet mining pickaxe to get the job done with. First things first, I needed to pick up some tools and other supplies for the missions before heading to the main area. After a bit of traveling and working out how to get around some rather harsh terrain. I finally arrived at the main mission areas for mining. This spot had some rather massive resource spawns at it. Along with some caves, which I was looking forward to exploring. Every so often, I’d run back to this mission drop-off location and offload my inventory. Some of these caves would end up having beehives inside them. Bees in this game would end up being the bane of my existence. Sure, a couple of stings from them were nothing but annoying. However, if you could not deal with any bee hives, they would take you out over time. While sometimes they would be in easy spots, I could run up and hit them with my knife. Other times, I’d need to take out the hive with arrows, so I ended up crafting a few along with a bow. These caves ended up getting so cold at night that I’d sometimes not be able to perform any further mining actions. There is also a general debuff you get from being in a cave. Along with a chance to get cave lung, making it rather hard to have enough stamina to do much of anything. To counter this, I ended up crafting a fire. This also allowed me to cook some food. In total, I spent about two hours on this mission. While that might sound long for a single mission. I kind of wish it were longer with even more caves to explore. This would end up being the biggest thing I’d enjoy doing in this game. That was exploring caves and getting every single ore I could get my hands on. After a while, things just came down to needing a couple more different ores. So, I started skipping over a lot of stuff I no longer needed. On top of that, my pickax was getting quite low on durability. Sometimes you just have to learn the hard way. Don’t stand next to the mission turn-in once you have completed a mission. At least it did not kill me. Now it was time for me to hike back to my escape pod and leave the planet for good.
