For beginners and inquisitive Potters alike, simply showing the method, trimming and glazing of the Yunomi's (name for a Japanese beaker) Yunomi's are still mainly used for Japanese tea but the younger the clients the brighter and more interesting they want their Pottery! The weight of the white (manko) stoneware used was 353 metric grams The biscuit firing was 800 degrees The glaze was a white titanium gloss/shiny with a matt medium green flicked and splatted over it. Final firing was 19 hours at around 60 degrees per hour, temp at the end was 1240 degrees centigrade. The wax resist was by Scarva ( not a supporter yet!) The tea was a "Yorkshire Tea" nice and strong lad! (starting to run out...)
